Rate of Inadvertently Induced Seizures with Deep Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
H-coil deep repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (dTMS) induces the synchronized neuronal depolarization of millions of neurons in a selected region of the brain. It is most frequently performed in brief repeated high frequency trains of pulses for the treatment of depression. The exact rate of seizures induced by dTMS is not known, since it is a rare adverse event.
